Since 2012, the Gateway Education Foundation has funded 102 projects totaling $101,169!

Teachers apply for funding through the Foundation's Funds for Learning program. Some of the projects we've funded include:

  • Model United Nations (HS);
  • An Engineering and Local History Study of the Keystone Arch Bridges (MS);
  • Band/Choir Competition Trip to NYC;
  • MS Trip to Ellis Island;
  • Activities by Gateway's Best Buddies Chapter;
  • Virtual Reality Goggles for Virtual Field Trips;
  • Xylophones and Ukuleles for the MS and Elementary Music Program;
  • A Study of Insulating Model Shipping Container Homes (MS);
  • Live Interviews with Holocaust Survivors via Distance Learning;
  • Summer Reading Programs for Chester and Littleville students;
  • Family Literacy Nights at the elementary schools;
  • Annual overnights for Chester's 5th grade at Becket Chimney Corners (ecology, plant life, the food chain and bioaccumulation activities;
  • Elementary Musicals for Chester and Littleville;

In addition, the Gateway Education Foundation works with community partners to send Gateway girls to Massachusetts Girls State; raises funding for auditorium improvements through the Shipman Memorial Fund; has established a dedicated fund for funds raised by Littleville parents for further improvements to the PreK/K playground; and has helped Project 351 alumni complete a local service project to support Hilltown Safety at Home.
