Gateway Equity Institute

Diversity Awareness Partnership (DAP) and NCCJ St. Louis have merged to form Gateway Equity Institute (GEI). 

GEI’s mission is to activate and support communities to advance equity and justice. We achieve this mission by empowering leaders to drive institutional and systemic change, providing a wide range of transformational training and coaching opportunities, and engaging youth through in-depth diversity programs.

While upholding the effective components of both DAP and NCCJ youth and adult programs and educational initiatives, GEI is tailoring them to address emerging challenges in the ever-evolving landscape of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), especially in light of new legislation. 

As a merged entity, GEI offers a complete continuum of training and education services for businesses and organizations; these offerings are customizable and designed to engage participants at all stages of equity work and understanding, from the beginner stage of DEI maturity through intermediate and advanced.

Prior to this merger, DAP and NCCJ St. Louis successfully collaborated on events like Dialogue for Change 2020 (community sessions that fostered vulnerable, growth-minded discussions about race and racial justice) and the 2021 Diversity Summit (an annual event that provides an opportunity to learn how to work collectively toward a more equitable future for St. Louis and the world at large).

DAP has been working in the St. Louis region since 2001, and NCCJ St. Louis since 1930. Together as GEI, we are thrilled to begin a new era in 2024.
