Gateway Rehab Foundation Inc

Gateway Rehab Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods and educating buyers in the greater St Louis bi-state areas of Missouri and Illinois. Our goals are to provide affordable housing, providing low-to-moderate income buyers a safe remodeled home, education and closing cost assistance and empowering youth to make better decisions and a look at the construction industry. We will assist families with emergency housing needs through transitional housing.

Low-to-moderate-Income Housing Rehab Program - provide updated remodeled homes and assist buyers with down-payment and an after care program with a promise letter.

Education Buyers - provide education on the home buyer process and credit awareness classes.

Transitional Housing Program - provide emergency homes or apartments furnished for families in need so they can stay for up to 12 months if necessary to (reunite parents and their children after coming out of some type of rehab or jail; allow families of a person with a serious illness a place to stay while in St. Louis for care; provide temporary housing after a tragedy.) We will assist families with mental health through sound and meditation healing as well as referrals to behavioral health specialist. 

Healthy Homes Program - assist homeowners with much needed repairs that they may not be able to afford. This program works within the Rehab Program. (When a home is donated or purchased for rehab, we assess other homes on that same block for repair work. "Must be the homeowner")

Homes for $40K - partner with corporations 4-6 times each year to rehab a home and sell them for forty thousand dollars each. This process will work in coordination with other nonprofits that will help us screen potential homeowners that are ready to buy a home.

Youth Volunteer Revitalization Program - make a significant impact on the array of problems that lead to delinquency in our youth. Using an approach that is comprehensive and holistic, giving youth an opportunity to gain knowledge about the construction industry by allowing them to participate in the remodeling of homes for our homebuyers. Helping them to both learn a skill in the the industry and produce critical thinking. Teaching them the importance of community involvement as well as personal and career skills.

Our budget for 2024 is $260,000, which will assist in home purchases, job creation and materials when not donated.
