Gather Community Space

Gather Community Space is a grassroots community center in the heart of downtown Wilkes-Barre, rooted in care and built for connection. Since opening our doors, we’ve brought people together across lines of difference, offering a welcoming space where neighbors become collaborators, healing happens, and ideas turn into action.

Our mission is to be an inclusive downtown hub that fosters meaningful programming, positive social interaction, and community togetherness in the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area.

Guided by our pillars of connection, collaboration, education, wellness, and access, we offer free and low-cost programming and spaces that reflect the needs and strengths of our community. From tai chi, yoga, drum circles, and meditation to dance, ESL, and cooking classes, Gather creates space for wellness, learning, and belonging. We also offer our spaces to the community to host meetings, events, and workshops creating an accessible, welcoming environment for connection, creativity, and collective impact. Our upgraded commercial kitchen supports both small food businesses through our incubator and community partners working to nourish our city.
