Gaudenzia, Inc.

Serving about 19,790 individuals annually, Gaudenzia operates more than 100 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C.  Services include specialized programs for pregnant and parenting mothers, adolescents, and people suffering from co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse.

Gaudenzia continues to improve and expand our services, helping individuals, families, and communities overcome the ravages of addiction.

Since 1968, the support of our communities has enabled Gaudenzia to develop a network of services so diverse that virtually anyone in need can be helped by Gaudenzia’s programs. Pioneering many programs for specialized populations, Gaudenzia has earned national attention for innovative approaches to substance use disorder treatment.

Who We Are

We help individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol dependency, mental illness and related conditions, to achieve a better quality of life, and become accountable individuals. We accomplish this through a continuum of care leading to long-term recovery guided by a philosophy of mutual concern and responsibility, research and community education.

Gaudenzia aspires to be the best program for the continued recovery of those affected by alcohol and other drug addiction, as well as mental illness, by providing the highest quality and most cost-effective treatment services available. The organization develops and implements specialized treatment to meet the needs of various client profiles and provides these services in such a manner that social, economic or demographic factors do not limit an individual’s access to appropriate services.
