The Georgia Arrhythmia Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to decreasing the death and disability from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. We strive to continually increase the density of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) available through our AED donation program. Throughout our first 9 years we have donated over 60 AEDs. With increased AEDs we need increased AED/CPR education and awareness. We teach AED and CPR classes at no cost to the community. For every minute that passes after sudden cardiac arrest (without treatment) the survival rates decreases by 10%. The faster a person receives treatment from an AED the higher the survival rate. So with more access to AEDs, bystanders with knowledge and confidence to act can save lives!
