Georgia Center for Nonprofits

At the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN), our mission is simple yet powerful: to create thriving communities by helping nonprofits succeed. Every day, we stand alongside nonprofits across Georgia, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to achieve greater impact.  Our work revolves around four primary areas of focus.

2. We are a capacity accelerator for organizations and their people  
3. We are Georgia’s largest association of nonprofits and its industry champion
4. We are an influential convenor of changemakers  

Through these pillars, we design and deliver unique, capacity-building solutions tailored to the needs of nonprofits, including:

• The Nonprofit University, a comprehensive executive education center specific to nonprofit management and leadership.  
• The Nonprofit Consulting Group, a group of local and national experts providing advisement in organizational design, management, strategy and finance as well as succession planning.  
• GCN.org, our resource hub, provides an extensive array of information, tools, research and content related to nonprofit management, leadership and governance.  
• Work for Good, our online hub for nonprofit employment connection and HR support.  
• GA Gives Day, our statewide public engagement hub and campaign raising awareness and operational support for local nonprofits.  
• The Nonprofit Marketplace, a curated service ecosystem specific to nonprofit risk management and operational needs.  

In addition to our capacity work, GCN is Georgia’s nonprofit industry association. We proactively progress policy initiatives and work with members across the state to influence issues of importance for our work and community impact. We convene across sectors to catalyze collaboration and understanding and, we conduct research and build engagement around issues that will increase the sector’s capabilities and inform private sector and government investments.
