The mission of Georgia Ensemble Theatre is to create connection between artists and audiences of all ages. Our vision is a community that thrives through its embrace of the arts. We achieve this mission by prioritizing our values of High Artistic Standards, Artistic Development, Inclusion, Patron Loyalty, and Transparency, and by espousing a working process of selfless ensemble collaboration.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET) was founded in 1992 by Robert J. “Bob” Farley and Anita Allen-Farley, and offers high-quality professional theatre productions; educational theatre for children; outreach programs; and training programs, workshops, camps, and classes for all ages.

In our 27 seasons of plays and musicals, we’ve presented over 150 productions on the mainstage at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, on tour to schools throughout Georgia, and at two “satellite locations,” the Chattahoochee Nature Center and Oglethorpe University. Our yearly performance offerings include a five-show mainstage subscription season (made up of classic and contemporary plays and musicals) on our home stage in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, one show produced at an off-site location like CNC or OU, four FamilyStage Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) shows presented on our home stage and on tour to schools, two shows produced by our Advanced Teen Ensemble, a showcase of our apprentice company, a musical performed by our camp students, and “dark night” programming such as new-play readings and a jazz concert series featuring Joe Gransden.

Our Conservatory education program has been a crucial component from the beginning, offering year-round classes, camps, in-school residencies, and workshops for youth and adults, taught by professionals in their field. We serve 300 students a year, from pre-school children to professional adults. In 2018 we added an Advanced Teen Ensemble company, made up of students who have studied with GET for a year or more. These teens intensively study acting skills, write their own plays, and present their work to the public every semester.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre is a local theatre company with a regional reach. We seek to serve audiences in metro Atlanta area and all of North Georgia, but our strongest patron base is located right in our backyard, in Roswell and North Fulton County. Our programs contribute significantly to the quality of life in this community by serving a variety of patrons, who come from many walks of life and range from young families to the elderly.
