The Georgia National Guard Family Support Foundation, Inc. was established in 1994 and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable corporation in 1996.  Its primary mission is to provide financial assistance on an emergency relief basis to Soldiers and Airmen currently serving in the Georgia National Guard.  The Foundation is self-funded and relies on individual and corporate donations and fundraising events throughout the State of Georgia.  It is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and although it is not a military organization, it is recognized as an official support organization of the Georgia National Guard.

Now more than ever, Georgia National Guard Members have been called to action.  They have provided security presence, law enforcement support and site security across the State and to the Nation.  The Guard has continuously mobilized Soldiers and Airmen as part of rotational deployments around the world.

When Service Members face unexpected financial hardships, they turn to the GA National Guard Foundation for emergency relief assistance.   They have received payments to avoid eviction, foreclosure, utilities disconnection and repossession of vehicles. Throughout inception, the Foundation has assisted victims of house and apartment fires, tornadoes, floods and other natural disasters.  Eligible members have received emergency travel and funeral expenses assistance. The Foundation supported Guard Members injured during deployment and training or those experiencing temporary pay problems.  Nearly 4,000 Georgia National Guard members and their families have received over $3.4 million dollars in financial assistance!  Your support will help us do more. Thank you.
