The honorees of Georgia Women's Hall of Fame have left an indelible imprint on the State of Georgia and its citizens. From artists to authors, scientists, politicians, educators and athletes, more than 80 women have been inducted into this prestigious Hall. Through these life stories, we are all encouraged to use our own unique talents and mentor future generations.

Since its inception, the mission of GWA has been to honor the inspirational and courageous female trailblazers of our state while providing education and awareness of their accomplishments. In furtherance of the values of the organization, the Board of the Georgia Women of Achievement remains steadfastly committed to diversity and inclusion as to all inductees. We are dedicated to our educational mission through transparency and authenticity through an ongoing review of all inductees, past and future.

We are grateful to former First Lady, Mrs. Rosalynn Carter, and the other founding members of Georgia Women of Achievement for their inspiration and dedication to Georgia's history, specifically the consistent reminder of Georgia's women of history.

Together with Mrs. Carter, Robert Ackerman, Frank Jones, Valeria Murphey, Nancy Anderson, Neva Fickling, Eleanor Lane, and Colleen Nunn worked tirelessly from 1988-1992 to create Georgia Women of Achievement.
