Girls on the Run New Hampshire

The Girls on the Run mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running and movement. The program uses running as a vehicle for teaching life skills and promoting health outcomes for 8 to 13-year-old girls. Running is in our name, but empowerment is the goal!

Girls are taught how to integrate physical activity into their daily lives in a fun, empowering, and social environment, while also building the courage to unleash their inner star power! The season concludes with a celebratory non-competitive 5K event. Completing the 5K gives all participants a tangible sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals.

By participating in GOTR programming, girls learn to raise the bar, to use their voices for positive and effective change, to become empowered leaders over their lives, as well as in their communities and to simply become the best versions of their already extraordinary selves!

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, your donations are essential. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. In the case that funds exceed the projects described here, we will use the money where it is most needed.

Who We Are

At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
