Founded in 2006, the Girls State Alumnae Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization born from the love and dedication of alumnae to support and promote the transformative California Girls State program. With more than 31,000 California Girls State alumnae, we seek to build a network of extraordinary women leaders across the Golden State and the nation through professional development, networking, and mentorship opportunities.

Since 1938, the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA)'s Girls State program has taught responsible citizenship, governance, leadership, respectful dialogue, resiliency, and sisterhood to 500 young women every summer. The delegates represent cross-sections of California, come from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and are selected based on strong academic performance, dedication to community service, and leadership potential.

In addition to connecting alumnae, the Girls State Alumnae Foundation's major focus is to support the California Girls State program through support for program costs and scholarships.

Give today to our 2015 summer fundraiser below to invest in future women leaders and community builders!
