Girl Scouts of Central Texas

A nonprofit organization

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts create the world they want to live in and strive to make it better every single day. They explore their strengths, take on new challenges, and can always be themselves, regardless of background or ability. Supported by adult volunteers and mentors right here in our community, as well as millions of alums around the globe, Girl Scouts lead the way as they discover who they are and how they can make the future a brighter place.

Girl Scouts bring dreams to life and build a better world together. Through engaging programs, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds can be themselves as they discover strengths and meet challenges - whether climbing trees, hiking, advocating for climate justice, or making lasting friendships.

Girl Scouts build confidence, creativity, and resilience while embracing risks and adventures, preparing them for successful lives. Your support directly helps girls overcome challenges.

Community Programs bring funded activities to where youth already are, ensuring Girl Scouting is accessible regardless of circumstances.

Stay in School to Enjoy Real Success (SISTERS) works to decrease dropout rates by offering experiences that help participants build bright futures. The program combines Girl Scouts' curriculum with four key Texas Education Agency dropout prevention strategies: personalized learning environments, one-on-one mentoring, academic support, and career and technology education.

Testimonials

"At SISTERS, we learn about things we'll need to do in life, like setting a budget. We learn about different jobs we can have in the future. Before joining SISTERS, my grades were horrible. A lot of times I just didn't want to be at school. But when I joined SISTERS, it made me want to try. It's taught me to be confident in myself, to love myself. It's made me a better person." - Martha, SISTERS Girl Scout

"Peer pressure is really hard. My old friends would encourage me to skip class. My SISTERS friends help me figure out the right way to go." - Leilani, 11th grader
