More Than You Imagine

When you picture a Girl Scout, do you think of that little girl down the street selling cookies, earning badges, camping with her friends, and helping clean your local park? Or the woman she’ll one day become? We think of both at Girl Scouts—because we’re not just here for girls today, but for life. 

As a young entrepreneur, your local Girl Scout Cookie maven is learning to set goals, communicate effectively with others, and take ownership of the outcomes. As a camper, she learns to function outside her comfort zone and build independence. As a badge earner, that Girl Scout practices critical thinking, problem-solving, and advocacy, gaining confidence in her own abilities. As she participates in service projects, she sees that she has the power to make her community better. As she engages with her Girl Scout sisters, she learns that the whole is more than the sum of its parts and that every voice matters. Every step of the way as a Girl Scout, she’s gaining the courage, confidence, and character to be a great collaborator, manager, thought leader, and advocate.
