When girls succeed so does society.

But, often girls don't get a chance to reach their fullest potential due to boredom, bullying, getting lost in the crowd, or not having enough self-confidence to raise their hand in science class when they know the answer.

Working with a dedicated network of over 175 adult volunteers in San Benito County and you on our team, that's where Girl Scouts comes in along with over 100 years of experience helping girls in an increasingly complex society.

When you support the mission:

  • Girl Scouts can help girls navigate the twists and turns to be their best self with a calendar of FUNomenal activities for their social calendars.
  • Girl Scout life offers an active, healthy life with outdoor experiences, hiking, summer day camp at Historical Park in Hollister, kayaking and community service - there's always something energetic happening.
  • Girls can have fun experiencing science, tech, engineering and math subjects in ways that increase their self-confidence while also building skills in entrepreneurialship and financial literacy.

When girls have access to meaningful extracurricular resources and nurturing support, great things happen like, recently, Hollister-area Girl Scouts:

  • Represented Girl Scouts, led the Pledge of Allegiance and CONNECTED with their community and Congressman Sam Farr at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of the San Juan Road Interchange Project.
  • Girl Scout Troop 20020 began their spring break with an early morning tour of the emergency department of Saint Louise Regional Hospital. “They are working on their First Aid badge,” explained troop leader, Barbara Penny. “This helps them see how science can be used in a career.”
  • Girl Scout Daisies helped plant trees with Parks & Recreation on Keep San Benito Beatiful Arbor Day.

Thanks to your generosity, we will empower girls in San Benito County to reach their fullest potential and build a better world. Every gift counts.

About

Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast (GSCCC) provides Girl Scouting in the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. GSCCC has a growing membership of over 250 girls in San Benito County.

Empowering Girls
As Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girls grow courageous and strong through a wide variety of enriching experiences, such as field trips, skill-building sports clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships.

Girl Scouts helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.

Girl Scouting is an inclusive organization open to all girls and adults who subscribe to the Girl Scout Promise and Law.   The focus of the Movement is to help each girl find and follow her own unique leadership path within the framework of her family's religious, cultural and political beliefs.
