Thanks  to supporters like you, Girls Inc. is helping girls like Yaraliz beat  the odds. Open to all, Girls Inc. supports the girls who need us the  most – those from low- income communities who don’t have access to all  the opportunities they need to grow up healthy, educated, and  independent.

Shockingly the challenges girls still face in the U.S. is real and profound --
• 1 in 5 girls live in poverty.
•  1 in 6 girls will not finish high school. Students from low-income  families are 5 time more likely to drop out of high school.
• Over 1 in 20 U.S. teen girls become pregnant each year; the highest teen pregnancy rate in the developed world. 

Girls  Inc. fights to change that with our unique year-round programs.  We  focus on building her confidence, increasing the odds that she gets good  grades, pursues higher education, and prepares for a future and  meaningful career.
