Gladewaves believes that all people have a right to food, shelter, education, companionship and the tools necessary to ensure a productive life.

WE ARE HERE FOR THE DURATION:
Gladewaves partners with churches, synagogues, schools, police stations, and community centers across Metro New Orleans. Our programs have a direct impact on individuals, children, senior citizens and families by addressing the issue of food insecurity with multiple programs. For senior citizens our Senior Outreach program directly affects senior health by providing relief from loneliness, isolation and food insecurity. In 2023, Gladewaves provided 249,020 meals to the Metro New Orleans community:

-14 Big Red Box barrier free food pantries: 189,280 meals

-Senior Outreach Lunch-N-Learn Program (7 luncheons per month): 7,000 hot meals

-500 hot meals, 500 backpacks filled with personal hygiene items and 250 gently worn, professionally cleaned winter coats on Thanksgiving day each year 2018-2023.

-Holiday Turkey & Grocery give away in partnership with the Rigby Family Foundation and West Jefferson Medical Center, 500 Turkeys and bags of groceries distributed each year in 2024,
