Global Acupuncture Project in Uganda

We will be returning to Uganda to continue the training of a committed, enthusiastic group of providers. Already, our Trainees are making a difference in peoples' lives, reducing pain and suffering and improving quality of life. During the trainings, hundreds of people line up each day to receive an acupuncture treatment. And, each time we travel to Uganda, it is even busier.  This innovative program  empowers health-care providers with the knowledge to care for and heal those in their communities. In their own words, it "makes them special in their community." The simple acupuncture treatments they use have been so effective in addressing the needs of those with HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB, and other debilitating conditions. When there is no access to healthcare, when there are side effects from the medications, or when there has been no relief from conventional medicine, acupuncture can make a difference.
