Global Family Philanthropy Inc

Global Family Philanthropy (GFP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and children both locally and internationally. Through our volunteer service and fundraising, we work to empower families and provide children access to shelter, education, nutrition as well as a loving community of support.

Our work extends from the desert of Arizona to the island of Haiti. GFP has created a loving home in Northern Haiti, where we care for 8 children and employ 5 Haitian staff members. Our children live in a family style environment and attend school, a rare opportunity in this devastatingly poor country.

Within walking distance of our children’s home is Bon Samaritan, a home for the elderly run by Catholic Charities. GFP is proud to be working with the Catholic Church to support on-going projects at Bon Samaritan. In November 2013, GFP broke ground on the construction of another home for the elderly in the rural community of Derac. The home will be built on land donated by the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Liberte.

 

 

OUR  CURRENT PROJECTS

GFP CHILDREN'S HOME, Haiti

 Our kids continue to thrive under the care of our housemother Sarah and her husband Ellie. We are settled into our new house in Ouanaminthe. The children are growing up so fast and we are proud to see them thriving in this wonderful setting. 

PROJECT DIGNITY, A HOME FOR ELDERLY IN DERAC, Haiti

 GFP broke ground on the construction of a home for the elderly in the rural community of Derac. The home will be built on land donated by the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Liberte. These elderly residence are currently located far from any services and we want to create a loving and healthy environment  similar to Bon Samaritan, located in Ouanaminthe.

CHILDREN FIRST ACADEMY (CFA), Phoenix, AZ

 One hundred percent of the students attending CFA in Phoenix live below the poverty line and 40 percent of students are homeless; they are staying in temporary housing such as shelters and motels. The school provides transportation, food boxes for families, social services, medical care and top notch education. We at GFP want to support the efforts of CFA by volunteering in the classroom and by organizing food and school supply drives.

HOUSE OF REFUGE, Sunnyslope, AZ

 House of Refuge Sunnyslope serves men who are either homeless or coming out of homelessness. GFP volunteers assist with projects like preparing meals, landscaping, career building and collecting supplies and furniture.

RURAL MEDICAL CLINICS, Haiti

 Working with volunteer medical teams rural medical clinics reach communities that do not have access to medical care. These medical professionals provide care for up to 1200 patients within a single week. GFP is proud to provide much needed medical supplies to these mobile clinics.

GFP will continue its efforts to provide much needed services both here and abroad.  It is through many  generous contributions that we are able to continue our work.
