Global Glimpse

Global Glimpse partners with high schools to provide a two-year leadership development, civic engagement, and college preparatory program centered on a three-week immersion experience in the developing world. Our two-year community-based program gives high school students from low income neighborhoods a transformative experience abroad along with the skills, confidence, and perspective needed for college and career success. Global Glimpse is the only educational travel organization in the field committed to serving low income and minority youth on a large scale. In 2016 we will serve 900 students and 90 educators across 65 public high schools in the Bay Area, New York, and Chicago.

Our educational model is centered on the power of diversity. Throughout our program we work to integrate students from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds in ways that promote mutual understanding, growth, and collaboration. Students recognize the impact of their actions and realize their ability to create meaningful connections with people from very different backgrounds. We believe the ability to understand, build relationships, and collaborate with people from different socioeconomic, cultural, racial and ethnic backgrounds is a fundamental skill for achieving 21st century success.
