OPEN DOORS IN HAITI

Haiti remains in a state of political unrest, limiting the work we can do physically on the ground. However we remain connected and committed to the people of Haiti through our on the ground local partners. 

This year we are focused on fundraising for general operating funds so that we can remain flexible and responsive to the needs of our Haitian brothers and sisters. 

OUR MISSION + VISION

We believe education is at the foundation of success because it offers hope, empowers and can transform lives. With the proper education and resources, Haitians will be empowered to change their own lives and communities.

Haiti has been plagued by natural disaster, political unrest, poor health resources and an almost non-existent education system for much of its history. Haiti’s literacy rate is just above 50% compared to the 90% average of its Latin American and Caribbean counterparts. Education is not a priority when you are living on only $2 or sometimes $1 a day. 

G.O.D believes poverty can be eradicated through education.
