God's Green Acre Association

Our focus, at its core, is empowering young women through a shared love of horses. GGAA is a safe and affirming place for girls to improve their equestrian skills, no matter what level they are starting from. Our ranch girls participate in regional parades and horse shows, progress through the GGAA class ranks by written and riding tests, and learn to assess horse health. Most importantly, by virtue of training with each other, they learn the value of persistence, practice, communication and teamwork. Taking command of a thousand pound plus animal requires a profound inner strength and confidence. When they graduate from GGAA, ranch girls take that with them where ever they go in life.

Our association takes particular pride in keeping membership as affordable as possible, just as it did in its beginning as Girl Scout Mounted Troop #1184. We are able to do this through strong parental and volunteer involvement; our families truly become 'ranch families'. Our current members come from four counties across the St. Louis region, and we have hundreds of alumnae throughout the region and country.
