Golden Spike Tower

A nonprofit organization

The Mission of the non-profit organization known as the Golden Spike Tower & Visitor Center is to provide an educational and entertaining tourist attraction overlooking Bailey Yard, the largest classification yard in the world.

The Golden Spike Tower opened its doors in June 2008, welcoming over 30,000 guests each year to watch nearly 10,000 rail cars run through every day. As a private non-profit, we rely on fundraisers, grants, and private donations to help us improve our guests experience.

Testimonials

This place was the highlight of our trip across Nebraska. We made a complete circle around Nebraska and it was wonderful to learn about the history of America as people ventured through Nebraska and about those people who stayed and made it what it is. This Golden Spike Tower truly fulfilled one of my dreams to learn about the railroad. We got the pleasure of meeting a volunteer by the name of Dan. We had about a hundred questions and was glad to answer every one of them. He made our tour even more pleasant. They have lots of fun souvenirs to to buy. Don't miss the view of our busy railroads. It's an adventure. -Cashebit, Trip Advisor
