Good News Jail & Prison Ministry Mission Statement:   To provide spiritually mature, equipped, and motivated Christian chaplains to serve in correctional facilities nationally and internationally.  

Good News Purpose Statement:   To meet the spiritual needs of both inmates and staff through ministry that includes evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral attention, while facilitating other religious faiths within the guidelines established by law and the individual correctional facility.

Therefore, the local Good News chaplaincy in Lancaster County Corrections is a frontline ministry in Lincoln, NE. It ministers to the spiritual needs of some of the most troubled and troublesome individuals in Lancaster County --precisely at their time of greatest need and crisis-- and also of the staff who secure them.

The cycle of crime can only be broken one life at a time and only by transforming the inner person.
