Good Neighbor Alliance

The mission of the Good Neighbor Alliance (GNA) is to provide and/or assist displaced families and persons in need with safe, temporary shelter and access to supportive services and to work toward helping them achieve economic and social self-sufficiency. GNA is the only homeless shelter in Sierra Vista. The doors of our shelter opened on Jan. 16, 2003. Our commercial kitchen opened in December of 2005. We provide meals to our guests and those living on the edge of homelessness.

Good Neighbor provides robust case management to help our guests design and implement an individual case plan to transition out of homelessness. In addition, we help improve the health of our at-risk community members by providing referrals to local mental and physical healthcare as well as other important resources. Our shower and laundry programs assist with maintaining our guests' dignity. Some of our upcoming projects that we are looking to fund include a kennel for dogs so that our guests that have animals will consider our shelter an option, as well as a garden to sustain our meal program.
