Grace House Ministries Incorporated

Grace House Ministries provides three residential, Christian homes for girls, ages 6-18.  These girls come from crisis backgrounds where they have been abused or neglected, and it is our hope and mission to see the girls leave Grace House as mature, Godly young women.

Jasmine is one of the young ladies who has experienced a rebirth at Grace House:

 Jasmine and her siblings were removed from their home when Jasmine was only 10 years old because their mom was abusing drugs.  After her mother completed a treatment program, the children were returned to their custody only to be removed again when Jasmine was 13 years old for the same reason.  Jasmine grew up helping to take care of her younger siblings and taking care of her mom.  The family has always relied on government assistance and Jasmine has never met her biological father.

 When Jasmine came to Grace House, she was polite and well-mannered yet timid and shy with very low self-esteem.  She didn’t look people in the eyes, walked with her head down, and hardly ever smiled a full smile.  What a change God can make in a life!  With constant support and stability, Jasmine has truly blossomed into one of Grace House’s most beautiful flowers.  She is a positive influence and a leader in her home.  Her caretaker instincts have remained intact as she is always eager to lend a helping hand to other girls, her house mom, and volunteers.  Now, when I see Jasmine, she is walking confidently with her head up, and when she flashes her big smile, there is no doubt that it comes from within.

 Recently, a court ruled that Jasmine could return home, once again, to her mother who has completed another treatment program.  Jasmine loves her mother very much and wanted to be with her again, but ultimately made a very hard decision—she chose to stay at Grace House.  Jasmine knows she is going somewhere.  Her dreams have turned into goals; she is determined to make her hope for her future into a reality.  As much as she loves her mother, she knows that Grace House will continue to support her in a way that her mother cannot.  She knows that with the help of Grace House and supporters like you, she will do more than wish to go to college—she will actually go and graduate and break the cycle of abuse and dependency that has crippled her family for generations.
