Grand Rapids Trans Foundation

Grand Rapids Trans Foundation is a regional nonprofit dedicated to helping the GR Trans community transcend barriers and build equity. Our two primary programs are 1) our Academic Scholarship, which help Trans and Non-binary students with education-related expenses while pursuing a degree or certificate from an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational program in Kent County, MI, and 2) our "Update!" Program, which offers workshops, financial aid, and guidance around updating name and gender marker documents for residents of Kent County, MI.

We are grassroots organization, created by and for Trans folks, with a new office space and support staff! Our capacity and our impact continues to grow, year by year.
