The mission of the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department is to save lives endangered by fire, medical emergency, or any other disaster; and the protection of property. The Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit 501c3 organization based in the heart of the unincorporated community of Grape Creek, Texas, about 10 miles north of San Angelo, Texas. We are a 100 percent volunteer organization with a diverse group of 24 dedicated & certified men and women who are called to serve.

Our primary response fire district serves a population of 18,000 people, to the northwest of the city of San Angelo's city limits. We provide all the fire protection outside the city limits of San Angelo in this area. Grape Creek VFD provides exclusive fire protection to the following unincorporated communities & unincorporated subdivisions: Grape Creek, Buffalo Heights, Highland Range, RM 853/Arden Rd Industrial Sector, FM 2105 Industrial Sector, Lake Gardens, Concho Lake Estates, Angelo State University Agriculture Research Facility, Texas A&M Agriculture Research Facility, and 4 Grape Creek ISD school campuses. Four major roadways travel through the Grape Creek VFD response district, which include: US HWY 87 N. (future US Interstate 14), FM 2288 (serves our Buffalo Heights and Highland Range communities), FM 2105 (serves our industrial businesses), and RM 853 (serves our industrial businesses).
