Who is Freshwater Future? 

Freshwater Future is a unique organization working to improve the environment in the Great Lakes.   We work on both policy and building a strong environmental movement for the Great Lakes region.  

What makes us different?  

Not only do we work on critical issues like Asian carp and fracking, we also help 100's of other community and citizen efforts by providing them critical funding and coaching.

Freshwater Future sees itself as a collaborative and entrepreneurial organization that seeks opinions and partnerships from diverse communities and collaborators, values citizen knowledge and abilities and understands the importance of our natural environment for current and future generations.

What does Freshwater Future do?

• Build effective Great Lakes advocates and environmental organizations;
• Ensure policies are in place and enforced to safeguard our waters;
• Bring together the local efforts of many to create a stronger voice for our waters; and
• Stay abreast of threats to our waters, not waiting for disaster to happen before taking action.

Freshwater Future created our Walk, Paddle and Roll in 2008 to get outdoors to celebrate our spectacular region and raise funds to support our work.   To the side are examples of how your donation will be used to help us protect our waters.
