New Pathways for Youth (formerly Greater Phoenix Youth at Risk) makes possible new futures for our children and youth through mentoring and value-driven programs. Our mentoring programs build social, emotional and academic skills, increase school attendance and performance, decrease violent activity and behaviors and substance abuse. Since our founding in 1989, New Pathways for Youth has positively impacted the lives of more than 4,500 youth that would have otherwise been unsuccessful with their personal and academic goals in life. We provide mentoring to at-risk teens, children who reside long-term in homeless transitional shelters, youth and teens identified as academically capable but require extra assistance in reaching their higher-education goals In addition, our center's after school program in the heart of the Garfield Neighborhood provides a safe place for neighborhood youth to learn and play.
