Greater Worcester Land Trust Inc

Since 1987 GWLT has helped to conserve over 2300 acres in Worcester and 7 surrounding communities.

Trails, forests, farms, meadows, wetlands, and parks are all part of the mix of where GWLT is in the landscape. All of the properties GWLT has helped to conserve have public access!

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about GWLT is that most of this work is achieved by volunteers! Between a volunteer board of directors that meets twice a week, a core of volunteers who meet every week to work on property improvements, trails, and signage, interns from local schools, and teams of volunteers from local businesses, the work of conserving, monitoring, and managing the conservation land is in the hands of the residents and neighbors who live next to and use the lands.
