Job Development and Placement: Our team has been very busy over the past year developing paid work opportunities for 18 participants in our Day Program. They are proudly working for a regular wage under the supervision of our staff, at BJ’s, McDonald's and The Cheesecake Factory, as well as South Bay Hondy and Sturkin Automotive. Your support allows us to develop additional paid work opportunities that bring pride, dignity, and a paycheck!

Social Recreation: By providing access to community-integrated social activities, your gift will make a huge difference in the emotional and physical well-being of our participants .  Many individuals with developmental disabilities experience isolation and depression because of seemingly insurmountable barriers to participation in the community. To promote friendship and a sense of belonging, and to promote community awareness and acceptance, we provide a wide range of social recreation activities in the community. We collaborate with community partners and volunteers to provide accessible year-round activities including: golf, tennis, basketball, baseball, hiking, museum and playground visits, music concerts, barbecues and dance parties, movie nights, excursions to the beach and to amusement parks, and more! Our participants gain friendship and camaraderie, integration and inclusion in the broader community, personal health and fitness, as well as social and physical competencies. 

Creative Learning and Expression: We promote personal growth and embrace the unique interests and learning capacities of every individual. Through daily classes, our participants can explore their interests, learn skills and express themselves through music and dance, arts and crafts, cooking, researching topics on the Internet, reading and writing, and more.
