About Green Scene Thrift

Green Scene Thrift is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting reuse, reducing waste, and supporting our community. By selling gently used clothing, furniture, and household goods, we fund programs and initiatives in Erie County that make recycling and environmental projects more accessible. Every donation and purchase helps keep items out of landfills, supports local nonprofits, and encourages eco-friendly choices.

Our Impact by the Numbers

• ♻️ 500+ bags of items diverted from landfills through our 4-year partnership with Gannon University
• 🌎 300+ pounds of eclipse glasses collected and redistributed for global reuse
• 🧒 100% of City of Erie kindergarteners given access to educational field trips at the Erie Children's Museum
• 🗑️ Multiple recycling stations funded across Erie County in partnership with Bayfront Glass
• 🔄 12 Free Friday events annually, keeping ~900 items per event in use
• 🏪 Thousands of items reused yearly through our store, keeping usable goods out of the landfill
