Green Star Movement Nfp

Green Star Movement, a 501 (c)3 non profit, inspires students and community members to design and realize public art. This interactive process builds teamwork and self esteem in the participants, and revitalizes urban neighborhoods.

Since our founding in 2005, we have successfully transformed the interior and exterior of over 35 public spaces including shelters, community centers, schools, and parks using a technique called bricolage. Bricolage is an intricate combination of mosaic (tiles), sculpture, painting, and photos used to tell a story.

By working closely with dozens of dedicated volunteers, Green Star Movement’s bricolage projects provide arts-based education for over 300 youths a year.  Participation in a Green Star project can have a positive impact that goes beyond the completion of the mural itself. With all that in mind it's that time to lace up those good old running shoes, design super hero costumes, and run the Monster Dash for a good cause!
