Greyhounds of Fairhaven

Our mission is to support greyhound rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption by providing information about greyhounds and greyhound adoption, and by distributing money to greyhound adoption agencies. We promote the adoption of retired racing greyhounds at Renaissance Faires and other events throughout the southwest United States. As an independent group, we are not directly affiliated with a single adoption group, which allows us to represent all groups within the area of each event we attend.

We have educated thousands of potential greyhound adopters about the characteristics of the breed, the hounds' needs, and their gentle personalities. Local adoption groups have reported back to us that their adoption requests escalate during and after our events. Additionally, we have provided thousands of dollars to greyhound adoption groups to assist with veterinary care and housing costs for hounds awaiting a permanent home.
