Ground UP Adventures gets kids climbing to new heights and finding their way in the woods.  And our most ambitious project yet will allow them to access the best wilderness in our great city - the river.  The downtown boat house will offer community youth and adults alike the opportunity to discover what this great waterway has to offer.  Courses, clinics, events, and public watercraft rental, combined with safe and mud-free access, are all on tap!  

We fill an important niche in our communities.  We believe in the power of outdoor adventure based education and experience to dramatically shape lives. Discovering an appreciation for the outdoors and confronting challenge in the process develops self esteem, leadership abilities, a strong sense of confidence, and serves as a path to lifelong health and wellness. Our organization creates these opportunities where they did not exist before. 

Our 2014 programs will include:

• Youth rock climbing (club and team)
• Summer adventure camp (ages 10-14)
• Permanent orienteering course
• Downtown Boat House (watercraft rental)
• Youth paddlesports (club)
• Family friendly adventure races

 

Support Adventure! Please consider supporting our efforts to bring paddling to the Greenway and provide life shaping opportunities to area youth. Your support is vital for the success of our boat house project and in helping to ensure that we can contiue to offer high quality adventure based programming to all the kids of our community, regardless of their economic situation.
