Groundwork San Diego-Chollas Creek works at 

the intersection of social, environmental, climate justice, 

grounded in strong university and community partnerships, 

to deliver education, green infrastructure, and climate safe neighborhoods.

Education » Serving over 3000 students and their families each year, we provide cutting edge STEAM educational experiences and mentoring during- and after-school at the EarthLab Climate Action Park supporting the SDUSD Lincoln Cluster of 12 schools.  

Green Infrastructure » Engaging the Chollas Creek Watershed Communities, funding organizations, and elected officials, we secure grants to restore wetlands and uplands, create wildlife corridors, and enable creeks and streams to flow once again in a natural setting.  

Climate Safe Neighborhoods » Approaching this complex climate challenge from many angles, we secure grants to promote healthy home campaigns, tackle Chollas Creek flooding and pollution; reduce the inner-city heat island effect and sequester carbon through planting trees and educate students and the community on renewable energy and clean transportation through residential and community solar projects and electric vehicle events.
