Growing Food, Growing People stands as a beacon of hope in St. Louis, under the stewardship of a dedicated Black woman farmer. Our urban farm is not just a plot of land; it's a growing testament to resilience, healing, and community empowerment. In neighborhoods burdened by trauma and systemic neglect, we offer a sanctuary where connection to the soil becomes a pathway to wellness and self-sufficiency.

Through our work, we've touched lives by providing free, nutritious produce to those in need, emphasizing the importance of healthy food access in combating food deserts. Our workshops and classes, tailored especially for Black women, serve as empowering tools for independence and a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship.

Our inaugural summer camp for children is more than just an educational program—it's a lifeline. Here, kids aged 5-11 learn the value of teamwork, sustainability, and compassion, planting seeds not only in the earth but in their hearts, seeds that will grow into lifelong values and coping mechanisms against the backdrop of urban challenges.
