Entrepreneurship:

Everyone loves Girl Scout Cookies, but how often do you stop and think about how much girls are learning when they participate in the program? Participation in Girl Scout Product Sales Programs helps girls gain valuable lifelong skills such as goal setting, budgeting, and how to interact with customers. Girls get a taste of running their own business, see what they can accomplish when they set their mind to a goal, and gain critical lifelong skills.

 STEM: 

We've all heard that STEM careers are the jobs of the future and many people claim that girls aren't interested in STEM. But at Girl Scouts, we don't believe that. Girl Scouts gives girls the opportunity to try their hand at numerous STEM activities and realize how much fun STEM can be, and how capable they are of pursuing STEM careers. 77% of girls say that because of Girl Scouts, they are now considering a career in technology.

Outdoors:

Today's girls have countless technological options to occupy their time. From tablets to tv, many girls are not getting outside nearly enough. But that's not the case for Girl Scouts. From traditional camp activities like s'mores and singalongs, to high adventure thrills on one of our challenge courses, to hopping in the saddle with one of our horses, Girl Scouts have tons of opportunities to try new things in the outdoors. They gain confidence, improve their physical health, and strengthen their leadership skills each and every time they set foot outside!

 Life Skills: 

With every badge girls earn, and new experience they have, Girl Scouts are gaining critical, valuable skills. Whether they are learning to better understand our legislative process, how to maintain healthy relationships with their peers, or making lasting, sustainable change in their communities via the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, or Gold Awards, Girl Scouts gives girls the skills the become the leaders of tomorrow! 

As girls progress through Girl Scouting and learn new and exciting skills, they proudly display badges on their vests and sashes showing everything they have achieved.
