Gulf Coast Jfcs

        In 1960, we began providing counseling and family support services to the Jewish community in Pinellas County.  In 1974, we officially incorporated and began to expand and diversify our services through public funding.  Today these services include:

1. Strengthening children and families by protecting children from abuse and neglect, ensuring children are able to grow and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
2. Assisting in coordinating care and connecting seniors to needed services.
3. Playing a vital role in welcoming and helping to resettle refugees from around the world who have been persecuted and fled their home country to come to America with the dream of providing their families with a life of freedom, safety, and liberty.
4. Behavioral health services developed to address the unique needs of individuals who are working to overcome substance abuse, manage mental health, or gain control of debilitating behaviors which prevent them from living independent and productive lives.
5. Originally founded as a Jewish Family Services agency, supporting the needs of local Jewish families remains a key tenet of our community work.  Services include emergency financial and food assistance, support for Holocaust survivors, and mentoring programs for youth.
