Homestead Youth Arts Center Inc.

Our non-profit organization, Homestead Youth Arts Center, was established in November 2014 with a mission to provide kids of all ages equal opportunities to be actively involved within the art of dance despite financial hardships. Exposure to the arts improves a child's lifelong outcome and creates a direct path to success. It is a great extra-curricular activity for kids of all ages, as it promotes health, builds confidence, teaches self-discipline, encourages sportsmanship and ignites a passion that remains with the dancer for life. The premise of our organization is not only to keep the youth actively involved in dance, but also provide them with the tools to build their dreams and help them stay on a path of success. Our organization believes that developing and nurturing children are among some of the best ways of 'giving back' to the community. Over the past 6 years, we have served over 2,000 students in our Advance through Dance Fall program, Spring program and Summer program. Our students have been accepted to the magnet dance programs at New World School of Arts, Coral Reef High School, Southwood Middle School Center for the Arts, Miami Arts Charter, and Arthur Polly Mays School of the Arts. participated in numerous community events throughout Homestead/Florida City and Cutler Ridge areas. As an Ocean Reef Community Grant recipient, we have had the opportunity to positively impact the youth in our community by providing them with the best dance education throughout our Fall and Spring program.
