Habitat for Humanity Idaho Falls Area believes, just as every man, woman and child deserves pure, clean drinking water, everyone has the right to decent and affordable shelter.  By building locally and tithing internationally, Habitat Idaho Falls is part of an international organization that addresses the issue of substandard housing in 1500 communities across the United States and in 80 countries worldwide.

Through dedicated volunteers, Habitat for Humanity Idaho Falls Area builds homes alongside homeowners who would not have been able to afford a home of their own without Habitat's help. Habitat for Humanity is not a give-away program. Families are carefully screened and must be willing to perform sweat equity during the construction of their homes.  When construction is completed Habitat homes are sold to families using zero interest loans.

Since 1994, Habitat for Humanity Idaho Falls Area has been at work in Southeastern Idaho assisting over 30 families and 120 individuals receive the benefits of home ownership.  Local southeast Idaho volunteers have donated approximately 60,000 hours to help their neighbors achieve the American dream.
