Habitat for Humanity of Mifflin County is in its 25th year and recently completed its 12th house. Over the years many residents have benefited from our Brush of Kindness repairs program.

HFHMC's mission vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.  While the focus is on shelter we are also advocates for affordable housing. We believe everyone has something to contribute and something to gain from creating communities in which all people have decent affordable places to live.  We are successful when our work transforms lives and promotes positive and lasting change in the community.

Home is the foundation of a good life. The stability and opportunity that a decent home provides is universally felt. Together we build opportunity. Healthy communities begin with a home.  Part of our work is to help people access affordable credit. With future homeowners we walk them through debts and loans, saving , investing and planning for the future. We also work to preserve homes and independence with the repairs program.  Individuals work alongside volunteers on their home.   They have courses to complete in the financial and maintenance aspects of owning a home.

While we have done much in the past 25 years in Mifflin County we are looking forward to another 25 years. In order to stay ahead of the game, we need to raise funds for the next house to be ready when we have a potential homeowner.  Your donation of any size matters.
