Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country

A nonprofit organization

Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country is an independently-operated affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International that serves Carbon and Emery counties in Southeast Utah.

We are a rural affiliate working to provide decent, safe, and affordable housing for the 24,000 residents in Carbon and Emery Counties. Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country has built six homes and renovated one in our service area for low-income families. In order to expand our impact in southeast Utah, Habitat for Humanity shifted focus towards a critical home repair program known as A Brush with Kindness (ABWK). The introduction of ABWK to the area has proven both successful and necessary – since November 2013 we have completed 35 projects, directly improving the lives of 63 individuals, and investing $22,439 into critical home repairs. Our partner families are chosen based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner.

This year we are looking forward to building on our current momentum. Last year we hired an Executive Director and a Construction Manager to help improve our capacity for our home repair program. Though our programs take a lot of money to get moving, a donation of any size will make a considerable impact. It can convince others to donate, and it helps us move closer to our goals. If you can't help us with a monetary donation, please take a moment to share our page on social media.
