Building collaborative networks through advocacy and partnerships to improve access to quality education in Haiti.

Our Vision

Collaborating with others to build infrastructure and capacity of educators, students and society at large by leveraging technology in order to prepare Haiti to be successful in the 21st Century.

The alarming statistics of the Education systems in Haiti(from http://www.commissioneducation.ht)

In 2008 for example, the country counted 2, 793, 829 Haitian people (38,8% of the total population) who never attended school.

The government only provides for 8% of primary schools and that 82% of primary school students attend private schools.

56% of these private schools operate in structures that are inadequate (regular houses, churches, and arbors).

91% of these schools, located in rural areas, operate without electricity.  65% of them do not have running water.

Out of 100 students who started first grade only 29 will attend secondary school (High School). Only 1,7% of handicapped children of school age have a chance to attend school.

Haiti Futur with a network of schools, Universities, Communities centers and Teachers are working to reverse the alarming statistics. Your generous contribution will allow us to accomplish our Mission "Improving Access to Quality Education in Haiti"
