Our cause is our commuity. Each and every day, we focus on being there when our friends and neighbors need us most. We rely on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected and secure. The HRYMCA Annual Fund is 100% dedicated to financial assistance. Every dollar that goes into our Annual Fund goes right back out to the community. Every year, thanks to the support of our generous donors like you, the Hampshire Regional YMCA will distribute over $140,000 in membership assistance and program subsidies to more than 1,000 local children, adults, seniors and families in need.

"You may have heard that the Y is ‘more than just a gym’. For many of us, it is so much more. The day I joined the Y, was the day that my life changed for the better. A friend who was a member told me about the many benefits, including fitness classes, child watch and most importantly, that they offered financial assistance to those in need. I was a new mom struggling with depression. I was extremely overweight and unhealthy. That day was almost 7 years ago. I have lost 100lbs, and am both physically and emotionally strong. I am thankful that my daughter continues to grow and succeed through all of the opportunities the Y provides for our youth. Most of all, I am simply grateful. When I reached out, help was there."

"What is happening at Camp Norwich is more than the fun and games you see on the surface. Camp is transforming both campers and staff members into involved, effective, aware citizens and supporting families to be stronger. Lives are changing at Camp Norwich and I'm glad to be part of the process."

"I’ve been a member of the Y for ten years. Originally we joined so we could bring the baby swimming. What I didn’t know then was how important the Y would become to me and the kids, seeing us through a divorce, solo parenting, and very reduced funds. Now as a single parent, receiving a scholarship, I can only begin to describe how important the Y has been to our family – a place of community, fun, activities, and stress-releasing exercise for me, and a place where my active ten year old can be independent and safe. At Child Watch, my son can do his homework, play games and, of course, there is still the swimming – now for all of us. I am so grateful that you have provided a place for us in this community."
