Hand in Hand Parenting transforms the lives of parents, children, families, and communities. Help us provide support and tools to parents who need it the most.

We hear from parents across the U.S. who love their children, but do not have the tools and support to help their children feel their love and connection. We know parents in East Oakland who have known nothing besides threats and spanking. We meet moms in homeless shelters in Boston who have known only neglect and abuse. We talk with adoptive dads who have no idea how to connect with their despondent children. As Certified Hand in Hand Instructor Zelon Harrison puts it:

“Just growing Hand in Hand Parenting over East Oakland, and then into other cities and communities, is a must because children are continuously being abused and neglected. And it’s not because their parents don’t love them. It’s because their parents don’t feel supported. And their parents don’t feel that they have the tools (which Hand in Hand offers) to do this hard work.”

Zelon and other instructors are ready to help. They are participating in the parenting communities who need the most support. They know the Hand in Hand tools can change the lives of families for the better. Sadly, it’s the communities where parents need support the most that can afford it the least. That’s where you come in.

A $50 donation provides booklets or a video course to a low-income parent on specific topics like setting limits with love or healing their children's fears.

A $250 donation provides a six-week parenting course for a
low-income parent.

And a $1,000 donation will allow us to train parent from a low-income community to teach Hand in Hand, transforming hundreds of lives.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to provide tools and support to low-income and underserved communities.  Every gift you give, up to $7,500, will be matched dollar for dollar by the Hand in Hand Board of Directors, who have generously offered $7,500 in matching funds.

A parent's loving attention builds the connection and confidence in children to help them heal traumas and navigate, with reslilience, the large and small challenges of childhood and adolescence.

We believe that every parent deserves access to tools and support to help overcome their toughest parenting challenges. If you agree, we hope you will support us and help make Hand in Hand accessible to every parent who needs it.
