Hands of Peace

Hands of Peace empowers American, Israeli and Palestinian youth to become agents of change.

Celebrating more than 20 years of fostering peacemakers, Hands of Peace has grown and deepened and has produced more than 800 alumni and impacted thousands of lives of the volunteers and supporters, staff and families who have been touched by the circles that ripple from this experience.

Each summer, American, Israeli and Palestinian teenagers meet for the first time in San Diego County for the Summer Program. They also meet each year in Chicago. For 19 days, they learn how to listen, break down stereotypes, and discover their common humanity. During these facilitated dialogues, they get to know each other, share their personal stories, hear how the conflict has impacted others, and explore complicated and painful issues from many different angles. They enter the dialogue rooms as strangers and leave as friends, united in their passion for peace.  

Whether you're new to Hands of Peace or an alumnus(na), long-time volunteer, host family, or parent, you can grow this thriving network of young agents of change and watch their positive impact ripple around the world.
