Happy Whiskers Animal Assistance

Happy Whiskers Animal Assistance, Inc. is an all volunteer-run organization.  We do not have a shelter facility and utilize foster homes to house our available dogs and cats.  This allows us to get a good feel for the animal, their personality, and makes us better able to determine the type of home that would be best for this animal. 

Happy Whiskers works hand-in-hand with Jefferson County Animal Control, Kearneysville, WV, and every day we are reminded of the plight of companion animals in Jefferson County. Yes, plenty of owners take wonderful care of their dogs and cats, and for those owners we are eternally grateful. We love responsible pet owners! But for countless others their luck isn’t so good.

Our work is endless but over the years we have had many successes and have helped many animals move into loving, forever homes. 

Happy Whiskers also hosts low-cost rabies clinics twice a year and welcomes residents of the Eastern Panhandle of WV as well as surrounding counties in VA & MD.  To date; Happy Whiskers has vaccinated over 1,000 dogs and cats with Rabies vaccines and almost as many with Distemper combo vaccines. 

We love helping the public and encouraging them to keep their pets healthy and happy.
