I’m Emily Enderes, founder of Hardship Heroes, and more importantly, someone who knows what it feels like to live through pain that most people never see.

I’ve been the single mom trying to keep it all together.
I’ve held my daughter’s hand through diagnoses that no child should have to face.
I’ve fought silently through battles with my own mental health, wondering if any of it would ever get easier.

And for a long time, I thought my story made me broken.
But I’ve come to realize, it made me powerful.

Hardship Heroes was born from that pain. Not because I had all the answers, but because I knew exactly what it felt like to need just one person to say,
"I see you. You matter. You’re not alone."

That’s what we do.
We gift one of a kind experiences to families facing unimaginable hardships, moments that allow them to breathe, laugh, and feel joy again in the middle of their darkest seasons. Not just gifts. Lifelines.

We’ve surprised grieving children with magical Christmases, sent families battling cancer on peaceful getaways, and brought communities together to show up for people they didn’t even know, just because they care.

This mission matters because these families matter.
